UI & UX Design

Overview:

Dokter & Opvang (D&O) is a digital platform that helps emergency department staff (ED) in Amsterdam quickly find and refer appropriate aftercare services, such as shelters and food banks, for individuals who are Uninsured, Unhoused, and Undocumented (3U) using filters such as availability, service type, and location.

Once a suitable service is identified, the details and next steps are written on a referral card.

Problem:

At the Emergency Department of OLVG Oost, “Undocumented, Uninsured and Unhoused individuals (3U individuals)” often arrive in crisis. While they receive the necessary medical care, they sometimes ask the ED staff about after-care services, such as where to sleep or find food, once they are stabilized. However, the ED staff often do not have access to this information and may not be able to help them after the treatment.

Design Brief:

better way to treat mental health For Project M, we prototyped a smartphone app that helps mental health care providers to accurately assess their patients, doing away with cumbersome paperwork and simplifying the experience for everyone. The app also allows researchers to collect patient data to support ongoing pharmaceutical projects.
